Turkish Airlines (THY) has agreed a second ECA-backed Italian tax lease to finance the delivery of three new A330-300s. The airline has already taken delivery of the first aircraft (MSN 1616). The second aircraft (MSN 1629) is scheduled for delivery at the end of this month, and the final jet (MSN 1640) will deliver in June 2015. Societe Generale are the sole arranger of the 12-year Japanese Yen-denominated deal. Gide are representing THY, White & Case are representing Societe Generale and Norton Rose are representing the ECA. The deal is very similar to THY’s debut Italian tax lease issued in September 2014. The length of the lease, the currency denomination and the arranger of the deal are all the same as 2014’s financing.
