Russian bank Gazprombank has syndicated a 30 billion ruble ($470.2 million) loan covering Sukhoi Superjet 100 deliveries to the Russian Regional Development Bank and Chinese lender ICBC Bank. Gazprombank entered into a loan agreement with Russia’s State Transport Leasing Company (GTLK) last December to finance the lessor’s programme to acquire 32 SSJ100 aircraft. GTLK says a number of Russian banks, including subsidiaries of large international banks, are considering the possibility of participating in a syndicated loan.
The final syndicate of creditors and the closing is expected soon, the Russian lessor adds.
Currently 17 aircraft under the contract between Sukhoi Civil Aircraft and GTLK have been delivered. The remaining 15 aircraft are expected to deliver by the end of this year.
The loan was amended in July 2017 (ID 8893).
