Stobart Group subsidary Propius Holdings has signed a sale and leaseback agreement for eight ATR72-600s following its acquisition last year.
The 10-year leasing agreement was signed with GOAL (German operating aircraft leasing) – with an option to terminate after six years.
The Group will operate the aircraft within the newly established Stobart air division, operating flights mainly for Aer Lingus. The proceeds from the deal will be used to fund the Groups aviation division.
The deal is expected to close on 14 April 2017.
