Nepal Airlines has finalised an Rs12 billion ($116 million) loan with Citizen Investment Trust (CIT) to purchase one Airbus A330-200 aircraft.
Aviation Nepal says Nepal Airlines will pay interest of 9% to CIT. The loan have 15-year term and the Nepalese government will act as guarantor. Nepal Airlines will receive Rs4 billion from CIT as first installment of the loan. Nepal Airlines and AAR signed the purchase agreement for total of two widebodies on 7 April, 2017.
The a/c are planned to be delivered next year, one in Ashoj and the other one in Chaitra.
